Hey, I have a problem with the Vundo.dll virus. My Antivirus program keeps removing it every time I open Internet Explorer. I found this thread on your website and already downloaded VundoFix:
http://www.computing.net/answers/se...

However, when I ran VundoFix, it didn't find the virus (I think because my McAfee already removed it), so I don't have any log from VundoFix to post. I'll be happy to post my HijackThis Log whenever I'm allowed to.

Just to be clear, the order of events is:
1. I open Internet Explorer.
2. A short while later, my McAfee Virus Scan finds the virus named "Vundo.dll" and removes it.
3. I close Internet Explorer then open it again, and the virus comes back, even if I don't leave my IE homepage, which is www.google.com

I use FireFox 95% of the time, and when I do the McAfee doesn't detect the virus coming back.

Usually Vundo is hard to remove, removal process is very complicated. I suggest you to you Spyware Doctor in this case. Also read this article Vundo removal: http://www.2-spyware.com/remove-vun...

To maksimog: I scanned with Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware, and one of the things it removed was: "FCOVM (Trojan.Vundo) -> Quarantined and deleted successfully."
Does that mean that Internet Explorer is safe to use now?

Internet Explorer is not safe! Use Opera or FireFox!

To maksimog: Ok, I will continue to use FireFox.
What else should I do in order to make Internet Explorer safe again?

To ignys: Spyware Doctor didn't find anything. And I already tried using VundoFix and it didn't find anything either.
