Hi everyone,
I got a virus or spyware on my PC today, and while it's not affecting the programs, it's disabling any anti-spyware software and the windows Task Manager utility. Every time I click on any of these, a window opens then closes quickly. I can't install or run Hijack This of course for the same reason. Anyone knows the name of this virus or spyware and how to remove it. Many thanks for your help.

I think I mistyped my PC information. My PC is a Sony Vaio, and the RAM is 504MB.

easy m8 download and install spybot search and destroy and adaware se free home edition once done goto start>run>msconfig>boot.ini>check safeboot ( with networking ) close and restart > update both programs run spybot when finished run adaware se to be extra sure.. as the infection may have changed registry values and will stay in the memory when u safeboot u disble the drivers of the infection and spybot will repair the changed registry for you.. good luck
