Virus/spyware issues

February 5, 2010 at 07:19:43
Specs: Windows XP, P4 1gb
Recently at my school network, there has been a virus transmitting itself to several different computers through student flashdrives. It has also opened a backdoor I believe as there are many other viruses appearing. On computers that have been infected for three or four days, they have began not even booting. Anti-virus programs are not fixing the problem. I know it'll be required, so here's the hijackthis log.

Since posting earlier, I have now fixed the issues.

Using Hijackthis, the process I found to be the common destructive virus was kefim.exe, which I was able to delete with hijackthis only in safe mode. It would not delete in normal boot.

The virus that was present on every infected harddrive I found was guuun.exe. The instructions I used to delete this virus was found here:

There were also numerous other viruses found I had to manually delete on the flashdrives, such as username viruses, autorun.inf, kefim.exe, and a few others.

There were several computers, that after being infected with said viruses for several days, actually totally crashed. I tried to reboot them in safe mode, and it would not boot at all, I had to do a complete clean boot.
