VirusScan and shstat.exe

I recently downloaded VirusScan from AOL and whenever i start up my computer i get an error message concerning shstat.exe. What is the problem?

Hello Lorri,
Which version of AOL are you using ?
In general point of view, never download anything from AOL, this provider often is proposing beta versions of programs, which don't really works well...uninstall this viruscan program from your system using the "add & remove " program from your control panel in order to perform a good cleaning of your windows system.
Come back later in this forum to ask for programs compatibles with your OS, you will get good advices and often freewares...
