Help, i have contracted the spysheriff virus. I purged spyware with norton, but adaware and c clear did not do anything. I still cannot get the wallpaper off my computer and the secure32 keeps regenerating. I also can not turn my autoprotect on my norton antivirus to the on position. Go to this link and run the removal tool Spyware Quake Removal Tool Please post a Hijack This log so that the files associated with the virus/spyware/hijacker can be identified. You can download Hijack This at this link http://www.tomcoyote.org/hjt/ then place it into a folder of it's on, such as C:\HJT, so that back up copies can be made and not clutter your desktop or other folders and the backup copies of deleted items can be easily located if needed. Once saved double click HijackThis.exe, and press "Scan". When the scan is finished, the "Scan" button will change into a "Save Log" button. Press that, save the log, Ctrl-A to Select All, and copy its contents into the text editor at this forum. Do not fix anything yet unless you know what you are doing. This is a powerful tool that can crash the computer if used improperly.

Looks like you killed spysheriff, you still have a spyware names aboutblank and looks like you the zlob trojan. You should consider removing dell's myway search. You need to download and install the newest java 1.5 version once you are clean, yours is out of date and virus/spyware are attacking the older versions. Download Ewido Security Suite then set it up this way Ewido Setup Instructions We will need this later in safe mode Download this removal tool called AboutBuster: http://www.malwarebytes.org/AboutBuster.zip Unzip and save the contents to your desktop we will run it in safe mode later. Next follow these directions to reboot into safe mode Safe Mode Run Ewido from safe mode. When the scan has completed, Ewido will create a report.txt file. Click the "Save Report" button on the bottom of the screen and save the log to your desktop.
