Virus Wiped out all Office Docs

Specs: Windows XP
My wifes machine got some kind of virus/malware. Now all her docs are unreadable, and she has a strange pop up in the taskbar that says Filefix pro Data helper can help repair your corrupt files. Anyone seen this or have a fix.

BTW, I've already updated her virus software. We were using AVG, and it let this virus/malware in, so I switched to the retail version of Avast. I also ran several spyware/malware progs to get rid of everything. The only issues left are that pop up on the bottom taskbar and her corrupt ms office files.

Hey, I had the same problem as you. So far we've managed to
stop the virus/malware, but our office docs are all still
corrupted as well. This seems to be a new virus. Check out

This is where we are all struggling through it :)

BTW, to remove the popups, you need to remove fpfstb.dll
from your Windows/System32 folder. Use a program like
MalwareBytes FileAssassin. It is all detailed in the link I
posted. Good luck!
