Hello everyone, My computer is infected with a particularly vicious virus that means that whenever I click on something (file, message in hotmail), it deletes it or asks me if if want to send it to the recycle bin (I can't reply no, the window stays open). Avast, AVG, Macafee, Trendmicro, Panda, PC Tools, do not detect any infection...I painstakingly managed to reformat trying different boot modes and did so 4 four times but the problem always comes back. The virus (or is something else?) is also active in safe mode.
Has anyone heard of this? I really appreciate your help in defeating this nasty little bugger!

i Would power down the pc take the power cable out for a while then re-install the operating system doing a full format not a quick.

what does this mean? how did you format?
Nothing painstaking about formatting, just boot from a cd and do it.larry
