I have been connected remotely through gotomypc.com for the past week. When I go to access email (MS outlook express) from my host computer, it is now delivering all 12,000 old email messages! Any ideas as to what's causing and how to stop this strange behavior?
I don't know if it's a virus. I confess, computing is not one of my strengths. All I know is that this has never happened before. In the past, once an email is read, it goes into the deleted file. Once a new email arrives, it (and only it) goes to the new mail file. It has been a while since I emptied the deleted mail file, so I just did. Still, it's trying to deliver back to my new mail file all my old mail that has previously been deleted.
Does your ISP have a website where you can go and view what emails are on the server? Check your email account settings in OE and make sure they are correct.
