I was just wondering if a programmed virus, to pop out of the .exe file and start infecting, would need to be in the PC, ok i burned a couple of files into a CD and formated then one of these days i was going through them and checking all the files, and i poped in the cd and boom NAV 2002 pops up saying that there is a virus in D:/ called W32.Aboulia.Worm, or did it automatically pop up when i put the CD in the D:/ driver??...Any ideas
Putting an infected file onto a CD tells the Virus to start up, this is usually to do with a specific virus type one that is created to be stored on CD and then carried to other PCS.
Dont open it, scann the CD erase the fils and then reformat the CD.
Problem Solved.

If you can. You can only reformat a CD if it is a CD-RW. If its a CD-R, throw that thing out!
