Hi.
In the last day my computer's been the victim of pop-up, re-directing web sites and stalling software installations and spyware/virus scans.

I run AVG, Adaware, zone alarm & Powersuite. (ad aware does not complete scans!)
Superantispyware will not install, neither will Spybot S&D, and system restore won't work either

Can post my HijackThis log file on request..
If anyone can help me out you'd be an absolute saint.

Thanks,

Matt

You said you ran AVG and ZA, is your ZoneAlarm also an AV scanner?

Getting information off the Internet is like taking a drink from a fire hydrant.

Hi guys, thanks for your responses.

ZA is simply my firewall; not an AV scanner (as far as I'm aware anyway!).

I've since been able to install SuperAntispyware (by renaming the exe file); which picked up 4 threats in a scan, however problems still occur.
Also my AVG is able to update, which it wasn't previously, but as I said I'm still having issues being redirected to rubbish websites and getting some pop-ups

I've also tried SpyHunter which automatically ran a 'rootkit' however that didn't work. I've just run a scan and nothing has been detected.

I have also just successfully installed spybot so I will update on the results of the scan.

Thanks,

Matt

S&D has detected 3 entries of Win32.TDSS.rtk and also a Zlob.DNSChanger, all of which fail to remove.
(however I'm yet to run S&D in safe mode)
