Hello Everyone, I have been experiencing weird problems with my computer. I cant determine for sure if its a OS issue or a virus. The following is a list of problems my computer has been having; Most of the time when i turn on my pc the computer gets stuck on the desktop and none of the programs loads. it doesnt freeze because i can move the mouse. Many times i need to manually shut it down until it starts correctly and when it does, the computer operates incredibly slow including the internet. Most of the time my PC does not connect to the internet. The message i get is "Internet Connection cannot be established" VPN Client doesnt connect, I get an error Message. The Volume Control doesnt work. The message i get is "There are no active mixer devices available". I notice that the cursers hourglass continously blinks no matter how long the pc is on. I have tried the following programs in an effort to resolve the matter but nothing has helped; Spybot adaware malware ewido virus scan mcafee virus scan restore to an earlier point worked for a moment but once i shut down the pc and restarted it, i had the same problem again. Can someone help me out? I'm stumped! Thanks

How old is your PC? How many apps. do you had in your desk? Check out Device Manager and the system log to see if there are any clues as to which device/driver is having trouble. Do you receive any ERROR MESSAGES? Try to get to the BIOS setup(DEL) to get info. of the hardware and memory. Also: 1-Turn off the machine. 2-Reset the memory sticks. 3-Dis/connect all hardwares. 4-Turn on and see if resolve if not, 5-Disconnect the floppy and CD-ROM. 6-Turn on.If don,t work problably yuor PC needs a tune-up like the processor and memory
