windows canot find kerne1.exeyou may have type he name incoorectly in the run dialog,or annother open program canot find a file system. to search for a system file to search for a file click the star button and then click search. i get this message wenevere i restart my computer i run swat it to remove any trojan that i think i might have got but i still get this message whatt do i do PELASE HELP.

Not sure this is either a virus or trojan, sounds like you may have reference to a program thats not there in startup. To check this goto start menu\run and type

msconfig

then hit enter. Next click on the startup tab and see if there is any reference to this file, if so uncheck it and click apply.(you will be prompted to reboot)

i did tha already but found nothing
i whnet to symtem ani and i found it there i unchec it and it seems to have gone even thought peolpe told me not to fool around in system ani.

hi, the origional filename of kernel is

Kernel.exe not Kerne1.exe

the kerne1.exe is a fake name and i seen this before a few times. I think its from the Subseven trojan or something else.

Go to start, run, and type msconfig
then, select the startup tab.
then scroll down and see if you see something like

kerne1.exe or c:\windows\system\kerne1.exe
if you do
uncheck its checkbox. and apply and ok it.
then restart and see if you get it again.
