i use norton antivirus and i am reasonably sure that i have no real virus' or worms on my system. still- i have many suspicions regarding kaza (i am using kaza lite 1.7.1).
in general it works fine, but i notice that certain image files seem to crash the program when i attempt to preview them.
i have also downloaded two jpg's on seperate occasions of about 20k - 50k. the files cannot be previewed, deleted, renamed, opened, modified, saved over, and so on. when i try to wipe them out i am told the files do not exist. they are also distinct in that their file names contain a number of characters in excess of that allowed by windows.
i have also downloaded files which have a jpg extension but the icon is a windows generic thumbnail. when i clicked on it my norton install monitor lit up and asked to handle what it assumed was an installation. i said yes- but couldnt make much sense of the results. the icon of that file then changed to a standard xp jpg thumbnail.
what the heck is going on?

I have NAV too. Whats kept me safe is putting my blood hound heuristics on high. U can do that by going into options then manual scan, then blood hound. It detects stuff wrong sometimes, but never anything importanted.
