I wrote a post the other day about a MyDoom virus that kept mysteriously reapearing on my work computers. I finally figured out that it was coming from the files that I have stored on my web host. So, that means the files on the server, (the buisness website) Is infected. Now, how do I go about fixing this problem. New to the job, so no current backups. Also, will scanning the files on the server be able to repair them, or simply remove them? Thanks a bunch.

Well, your right they do have a removal tool. However, using the tool on a already created backup will damage the backup. Also, it is a temp fix. Because, when I create a new backup it will contain the virus. Also, I have already throughly cleaned the entire web site. And, I only get the virus after I create the backup zip file. The files are completly clean before I put them into the zip using the web host backup software. I am 100% possitive there isnt a virus in the files. Then, I create a backup zip using the hosts backup tool. The backup file then contains the exact amount of viruses. It even lists files that airn't even in my zip backup. Files that airn't in my web at all!
