virus on mp3 player

Specs: Windows XP
I got this mp3 player and it was working fine then after a while when i tried putting music on there it said i couldnt because the file was corrupted but it let me put some songs. And when i put them on these files appeared and i couldnt delete them. I think it was a virus and now i cant even open up the audio file or any other file on my mp3 cuz it says its corrupted. What do i do? Is it a virus? Please help

no, it doesn't seem like a virus.
personally i think you've been putting music on then taking the mp3 usb out...you have to use safely remove hardware tool before disconnecting with windows otherwise the device becomes currupted...

same with all usb drive/devices
yes it doesnt always currupt the device if you dont use the tool but its 50/50

and no, there is no recovery is this is the problem..sorry,
hopefully i'm wrong and you will find an answer soon

Well try to retrieve the files that is saved in the MP3 then reformat you Mp3 that might help.
