virus: mem:rootkit.win64.TDSS.Fa

Specs: Windows 7
A pop-up came up telling me Adobe Reader needed to be updated. I clicked on it and restarted as it said to. Kapersky found this virus but cannot remove it. I cannot even get to my desktop to remove this bogus Adobe Reader. What can I do?

Hi, please run Rkill from here:

Rkill is used to disable malware processes from running (similar to how the Task Manager is used for processes), once Rkill is run, please do not reboot your computer as this will cause the process to respawn.

Secondly, download TDSSKiller from here and let it scan:

Scroll down to the bottom of the page and you will see a link to the .zip file for the program.
