virus killed my vga boot?

I got the a worm that I cleaned up but my PC started not to boot XP. The computer seem to start up but it doesnt start the monitor. Maybe there were a virus killing my monitor boot? Since it doesn't start, I can't reinstall! Any ideas about donloading any bootinf info?
