Users at my office lately seem to be getting quite a few messages from other domain admins saying an unrepairable virus was found in an Email we sent and all my users are saying they don't know who these people are and they are not sending them any Emails. Is there a new worm going around? We have the latest updates through NAV and use Symantec Mail Security for Exchange also. Anyone else experiencing this?
Someone that has your email address in their Outlook/Express address book was infected. The virus/worm/trojan then replicates itself and uses all the addresses that were listed in the address book of the system that was compromised to spread itself. It is called "spoofing" and there is really no action you can take to prevent it.
