Okay...keep getting "bad image" messages. Three different types: companion.exe, waol.exe, nmain.exe. These error windows have completely disabled my operational abilities. I cannot run software, virus check, disk cleanup, defrag - nothing. The message is always something to the effect of:
The application or DLL c:\windows/System32\SENSAPI.dll is not a valid Windows image. Please check against your installation diskette.
It isn't Bugbear...I've already tried that per a support engineer. Please help! I'm dead in the water over here.

I believe that the file companion exe is Spyware. So i suggest you install a spyware remover such as Ad-ware,or Spybot,If you dont have one allready. If you do?scan your system in safe to clean up the spyware....

You can download spybot ,and Ad_ware at this link. After your system is clean of spyware,i suggest you install Spyblaster, and Spywareguard as spyware preventors. The file nmain.exe, i believe is a virus.here is info....
The bugbear virus worm spreads via shared network folders and through email. It can also terminate common antivirus programs. Once it has done this it is able to record and send out system passwords and logged keystrokes – all of which compromise security on infected machines. Also Known As:
W32/Bugbear-A, WORM_BUGBEAR.A, I-Worm.Tanatos, Win32.Bugbear, W32/Bugbear@MM, Tanatos, W32/Bugbear
