Dialer-RAS.dt.gn
VBS/Psyme
ex.cab

Located here :
1. c:\doc and setting\admin\local setting\temp int fil\content.ie5\ghunezo\epl28[1.cab] PUP name:Dialer-RAS.dt.gn

2. c:\doc and setting\admin\local setting\temp int fil\content.ie5\W7P326Z9\eied_s7[1].chm Trojan NAme: VBS/Psyme

3. C:\ex.cab

The Mcafee software wont clean it npor delete it nor quarantine it. Each time i tried it said it cant. However now it says that the first two files not found.
I have not yet shut down my pc .

please help. I cant even use the internet cuz i cant view anything at all. Not even the mcafee site.

I cant view the the Run menu so cant reach Regedit.

Cant Navigate some sites while can nagivate a very few.

In the display properties under the appreance tab the effects, anmd the advanced commamd boxes if clicked open a new menu and thats what is corroupted. i cant chnage anything in that and so i cant modify anything.

Now i scanned my pc with AVG and with McAfee virusScan 10. No difference. Then i found out that there is a folder named 'Xerox' in my c:\Program files.

cant you just locate those files and delete them manually? they may say they're in use but if you can get to task manager and if they appear in the processes list you can just terminate them long enough for you to delete the files.

btw the xerox folder is a normal folder, I have it too. I think it contains files that run printer services for xp.

Run your virus scan in Safe Mode.

Rule #1: Good Computers don't go down.
Rule #2: There is no such thing as a good computer.
