Virus disabling my antivirus

July 21, 2010 at 17:54:48
Specs: Windows XP, Intel Core 2 Duo/ 1.96gb
This virus has disabled my task manager and regedit.
i have McAfee and Avira but i haven't scanned for viruses.
When i try opening both of them, they won't open.
then, afterwards i tried re-installing Avira but sadly it won't install anymore.

Your post says it CANNOT run 2 AV's at the same time.
I would suggest unloading McAfee 1st using MCPR.exe
Then uninstall Avira. I would then recommend Avast Free as I find it to be the most efficient free antivirus on the market.
Set it to do a bootscan and move all it finds to the chest

Now run
1- malwarebytes
2-Tojan Remover
3- Hitman Pro
See if that cures your problem

Some HELP in posting on plus free progs and instructions Cheers
