virus: cannot run any programmes

unfortunately i run a executable programme,that i thought it was something else.So,after a couple o secs i could not run any exe,almost everything disappeared from the start menu,i cannot run command prompt,also i cannot restore my system cause i cannot find a previus state! plz help
p.s i cannot connect to the internet,either run any antivirus software

Can you use your antivirus recovery disks at startup, or can you get into the safe mode to use them and your XP cd to repair your system? A manufacturer's restore disk will not work.

no man.even when i go to safe mode i have the same problem.i cannot run any software either do a system restore

Try this, Download the following .inf to a floppy, write protect the floppy and insert into the problem machine. Right click on the .inf and choose install.

no i did not work.i get the same message,that windows cannot recognise this extension and that i should search on the net or browse my files,to find a programme that runs this application by the way i can watch movies and hear mp3!?!?!

tom41,when i try to open my web browser (I.E.) it prompt me to download this site,just open it or cancel.either way i cannot acceess the web site,beauase after i save it a cannot access it

Try the exefix08.com and exefix08.reg files. Hopefully it will let you run those file extensions.
