On a clean computer download Rkill to a flash drive. This stops known malware etc, note: Does not remove them.
http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/dow...
(If Rkill doesn't run first time try a couple more)
Then download malwarebytes free version onto the flash then run it from the infected pc.
http://www.malwarebytes.org/product...
Please include any logs if anything is found in your next post.
Then we can start trying reconnect you to the Net.

Please reply and let us know if our help worked. Your feedback helps others. Maybe you?

Hi Johnw - I dont think that was the correct link anyway?

From your #2 post your back online using the infected pc? Good that's great.

Ok lets try cleaning a few things to gain some overall performance increase.
Download Wise Registry Cleaner and Wise Disk Cleaner.
Clean the Registry first, then the Disk.
Then rerun Wise Registry Cleaner doing the other two steps. (System Tuneup and Defrag if needed?)

Can you download Tweaking's All In One tool from this link to your flash drive:
http://www.tweaking.com/content/pag...

Run tool, select Start Repairs right-hand tab, Start button. It will then ask you to make a Restore Point please do.

On the next page Uncheck everything except Reset Registry Permission's, Repair Internet Explorer, Repair Hosts File and Repair Winsock && DNS Cache. Then click Start button.

I think I have gotten rid of all the virus,s on the computer now, but havent been able to fix whatever changed blocking everything from accessing the internet....nothing can update at all cept windows and until recently AOL....unhide brought back everything else (except the restore datesfrom system restore) the actual restore program was hidden too along with half the control panel.....but I cant for the life of me figure out how theese programs are blocked...specially if windows updates and AOL use to wok as well....Even with all access given to the program it doesnt work.

Run ESET & post the log please. This scan may take a very long while, so please be patient. Start it before going to work or bed.
http://www.eset.com/us/online-scann...
http://www.eset.com/home/products/o...
You may have to download ESET from a good computer, put it on a thumb drive & run it from there.
Create a ESET SysRescue CD or USB drive
http://kb.eset.com/esetkb/index?pag...
How do I use my ESET SysRescue CD or USB flash drive to scan and clean my system?
http://kb.eset.com/esetkb/index?pag...
Configure ESET this way & disable your AV.

How to Temporarily Disable your Anti-virus
http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/for...
Why Would I Ever Need an Online Virus Scanner?
I already have an antivirus program installed, isn't that enough?
http://www.squidoo.com/the-best-fre...
Once onto a machine, malware can disable antivirus programs, prevent antimalware programs from downloading updates, or prevent a user from running antivirus scans or installing new antivirus software or malware removal tools. At this point even though you are aware the computer is infected, removal is very difficult.
5: Why does the ESET Online Scanner run slowly on my computer?
If you have other antivirus, antispyware or anti-malware programs running on your computer, they may intercept the scan being performed by the ESET Online Scanner and hinder performance. You may wish to disable the real-time protection components of your other security software before running the ESET Online Scanner. Remember to turn them back on after you are finished.
17: How can I view the log file from ESET Online Scanner?
http://kb.eset.com/esetkb/index?pag...
http://www.eset.com/home/products/o...
The ESET Online Scanner saves a log file after running, which can be examined or sent in to ESET for further analysis. The path to the log file is "C:\Program Files\EsetOnlineScanner\log.txt". You can view this file by navigating to the directory and double-clicking on it in Windows Explorer, or by copying and pasting the path specification above (including the quotation marks) into the Start ? Run dialog box from the Start Menu on the desktop.

Ok, once you get it started, you will have time to relax & freshen up.

You have highlighted a problem for when people & tired & frustrated, or even a noob, they skim the page & don't spot all the links.

I have now included this in my ESET file.
