Comment:

I have a very strange problem on my computer. For some reason I cannot post to any SMF powered forum or most others. This is the 2nd time trying here. I ran a virus scan (norton) safe mode and regular with no virus detected. I installed HijackThis and tried to use the analyzer but it wouldnt let me. I keep gettin a Null error. I used Norton online and no virus detected, I used housecall nothing detected.

I am at a loss????

My mother always said there were no stupid questions, only really stupid people – It took me a long time to figure out she was talking about me.

Please post you Hijack this log.

Please download SmitRemFix from this link http://siri.urz.free.fr/Fix/Smitfra... Then extract the contents to your desktop.
!!!! Only run option #1 as runing the other options on an uninfected computer will damage the desktop.!!!!
Open the "SmitfraudFix" folder and double-click "smitfraudfix.cmd"
Select option #1 - Search by typing 1 and press "Enter"; a text file will appear, which lists infected files (if present).
Please copy/paste the content of that report into your next reply.
Note : process.exe is detected by some antivirus programs (AntiVir, Dr.Web, Kaspersky) as a "RiskTool"; it is not a virus, but a program used to stop system processes. Antivirus programs cannot distinguish between "good" and "malicious" use of such programs, therefore they may alert the user.

Run Killbox again from safe mode and delete these:

C:\WINDOWS\iun6002.exe

C:\Program Files\AWS<PP>If the AWS folder does not delete just navigate to C:\Programs Files\AWS and delete that folder.

Everything else looks ok.

How is the computer running?

Hey Jabuck

Thanks for all the help but I still can't post to any SMF powered forum. I get a waiting for www.simplemachines.org/community/index.PHP?action=post2;start=0;board=7

In the status bar (IE7) when I just tried to post. This is the exact same thing that has been happening! It either times out to 404 error or just goes back to same page like nothing happened.

Is there a virus?

Just an update... when I went to another forum (tiny portal) I couldn't post there either. The error message follows:

document.forms.postmodify[...].name'is null or not an object

Maybe an IP null session?

Help me please
