one of my friends thought it would be funny to link one of his pictures on myspace to nakedkiddies.on.nimp.org and when i clicked his picture it opened open tons of webpages. they wouldnt stop opening so i shutdown my computer. now when i start up my computer its fine. but as soon as anything connects to the internet cpu usage shoots to 100 percent but in task manager all programs say cpu usage is 00 except for system idle process. i really dont want to reformat my computer. help please?

Well first of all you need to download ad-aware se personal and also spybot S&D. Also make sure you disable network activity that way you will not get any popups then you will have to update your antivirus software to current definition, and then do a scan with all three see what they pick up.

This happen in Internet Explorer?

Try downloading & running Firefox for a web browser for now.

At least you have some browser function.

Try Spybot and Ad-Aware for spyware (both free), and try http://housecall.trendmicro.com for an online AV scan. May have problems with the online scan though.
