hi u told me to check my bios setting and the motherboard that i was having well i tried changing the slot for sound card and the usb but it dint work . i have a pc 100 motherboard with SiS530 chipset in it . now tell me what to do with it in bios setup and plus i looked for audio setup in bios , nothing was there... loooking forward for your help thanks/

The SIS530 chipset will support both sound and video. Does your motherboard have both, or just sound? You must disable the sound on the motherboard to install a soundcard. If you cannot, then you can forget about installing a soundcard. It should be listed under features in the bios, so it can be disabled to allow a soundcard. What type of usb card are you installing 1.1 or 2? Does your motherboard have usb ports built into it? Do you have the usb card's installation cd/floppy?
