today my computer said it found several viruses
including trojans. A window popped up and I was
directed to a website that could help me. I downloaded
an anti virus program. When i tried to run the program
my computer said that it could not open the file as it
could not read the script. What does this mean ?

So you actually tried downloading that AV program? Hmmmm...welcome to the world of fake AV's and it looks like you may be in some trouble.
What scans have you tried so far to get rid of it? and what was the name of the anti-virus you downloaded?

Some HELP in posting on Computing.net plus free progs and instructions Cheers
