Hi
I recently downloaded a trial version of Hide The IP. It didn't work for me but now, when start up my computer I regularly get a message inviting me to their order page. I have tried to uninstall the program but each time I get the message "Please close any open instances of Hide The IP 2009 before installing/uninstalling it". There are no "open instances" so I can't close them. What can I do?

Thanks,

Noelinspain

try revo uninstaller:

It should help remove it plus remove all instances of it in the registry.
Let us know if it works for you. Thanks

Hi
Thanks a lot for your tip. After downloading Revo-uninstaller I successfully uninstalled the program (from list in control panel). Unfortunately, there remain three folders in my program arhive that I've been unable to delete and I'm still getting annoying messages from Hide The IP when I switch on the computer. Any further help you can give me would be greatly appreciated.

did you erase all the entries in the registry from Hide The IP?
They were the Bold letters in the registry while you were uninstalling it.
If you did and you still cannot delete the folders try Dr Delete:

or move on boot:

Yes, I suspect I may have missed one of the emboldened registry items! However, following your advice again, I downloaded moveonboot and successfully deleted the offending folders, as well as a number of others that had been annoying me for some time. A useful tool to have for the future. Very grateful to you, thanks.
