I have Trend Micro Officescan Client 7.3 software installed on my notebook PC with Windows XP Professional. My PC was once part of a network domain; I inherited it with Officescan Client. Now I need to uninstall Officescan in order to install a new single unit anti-virus program. Officescan however asks for a password as part of the uninstall process. Unfortunately I do not have the password or any way to obtain it from the network administrator who may have set it up in the past. Is there a way to get around this problem and uninstall this software without causing serious problems to my computer or operating system.

Dear Johnw,
Thank you very much for your input. The uninstall utility published in the Knox College site:

http://www.knox.edu/x12653.xml

worked very well. It did leave a couple of folders and a registry entry intact, but I removed these and the uninstall was completed succesfully. Thanks very much once again.
