I have an uncontrollable mouse moving and occuring at random. I have already used so many antivirus software but it doesn't detect the virus. I give up so I formatted my PC and Install a fresh copy of winXP but the problem is still there. I think this is a memory resident virus. Is there anyone who knows what kind of virus is this and how can it be removed? there other guys on having this problem but they doesn't have the solution. My friend also have this so this is not a hardware problem or a joke program. please help!

Download and run Adaware (free version) from http://www.lavasoftusa.com/
It detects and safely removes dataminers, tracking cookies, dialers, BHO's and other objects from your computer. Use "webupdate" before you scan to make sure you have the latest ref file (open Adaware and click on the globe or "Check for Updates Now"). The ref files are updated frequently - sometimes several times a week. Run a "full scan" http://www.lavahelp.com/howto/fullscan/index.html

If you can, try the mouse on a different computer and see if it does the same thing. Also try a different mouse on your computer and see what happens. That should tell you whether the mouse is the problem, or it's something in your computer.

This might not be related, but since you have XP, check to see if the voice recognition is activated. It can cause strange things to happen. If it is activated, turn it off and see if the problem stops.

I think I may have the same virus (or whatever) as Joseph B.'s. Perhaps he could send us more info on his system/symptoms.

I've already posted a message on this, and there are some replies by capt and me- those interested should look for "Jumpy Mouse Bios Virus?" (message 6638 under security section).

I have a virus too but mine is different... one day i turned my computer on and all of a sudden my desktop colors look like dots al over the place. My mouse disappeared behind the desktop too and I can't move it or anything, i already did ad-aware but it didnt help and when I tried a virus scan it told me to click on the folders to be scanned. But I can't use my mouse and my keyboard won't let me get into the boxes to check the folders. Does anyone have a solution so I can finally get my mouse working again?
