Unable to Uninstall spybot completely.

Specs: Windows Vista
Spybot is blocking installment of McAfee as recommended by Bellsouth internet.Host is filled with spybot installments that can not be removed and do not allow McAfee recommended by Bellsouth for internet protection. Spybot former help line now charges $50 to uninstall all the malware. What is happening since the host file states that massive amounts of information was installed by Spybot. I mean massive, pages and pages of data/ Is spybot now spyware itself? Help!!

use revo uninstaller to clean out all instances of spybot.
I would pass on McAfee and maybe try Avast Free:
Much better as far as I'm concerned, it's your choice...McAfee is not as good as they claim and will bog down your system

This is not the real Spybot Search & Destroy, you have obviously downloaded a bogus look-alike from a dodgy website.
