Comment: ok, im like 90% sure i have a virus because whenever i try open my documents and settings folder i get the postmortem debugger error and my computer completely freezes, whenever i run a virus scan it closes about half way through scanning my documents and settings folder, ive tried with my Norton antivirus and using online scans such as trend micro and pandascan, any suggestions? or should i just reformat..?

Reply: (edit)no need to go to that extreme of formating over a problem like virus\spyware. first thing to do is download "STINGER" ITS A SMALL VIRUS SCANNER. download it to your desktop only. theres no extracting involved.if you can try and get spysweeper it has near enough 100% detection rate of keyloggers and spyware.which are sometimes worse than your viruses. it could be just spyware thats causing your problem but you will not know untill you scan with appropriate software
