Hi, when I perform a full system scan with McAfee Virusscan it reports that all is clean, However whem I do a full scan using Adaware SE, Mcafee virusscan finds a file infected with Backdoor.CFB. It cannot clean or delete the infected file. I have tried to delete the file from the command line & tried to change the attributes of the file using attrib -r . I cannot change it's attributes it says that Access is denied. Any ideas on how to clean/delete infected file. I have run Housecall,Spybot Grissoft but still unable to remove it. Housecall & AVG & Virusscan does not detect virus during scan. It is only when Adaware or Spybot is scanning that either AVG or Virusscan detects the infected file. They cannot clean it or quarritine or delete it. Any ideas on how to delete infected file. The file is locate in c:\windows\system32 & is called logneb.dll.

boot up in safe mode, empty temp folder, check msconfig for startup file and disable, check start>all programs> startup and disable if there, using regedit search and remove any files link to backdoor and logneb,...scan with virus scan and adaware in safe mode ,
also try system restore prior to date of error...:)
