Post a Hijack This log please.
Please download SmitRemFix from this link http://siri.urz.free.fr/Fix/Smitfra... Then extract the contents to your desktop.
!!!! Only run option #1 as runing the other options on an uninfected computer will damage the desktop.!!!!
Open the "SmitfraudFix" folder and double-click "smitfraudfix.cmd"
Select option #1 - Search by typing 1 and press "Enter"; a text file will appear, which lists infected files (if present).
Please copy/paste the content of that report into your next reply.
Note : process.exe is detected by some antivirus programs (AntiVir, Dr.Web, Kaspersky) as a "RiskTool"; it is not a virus, but a program used to stop system processes. Antivirus programs cannot distinguish between "good" and "malicious" use of such programs, therefore they may alert the user.When you run smitfruadfix if anything is "found"don't run combofix we will run it later.
Please download ComboFix to the desktop from this link:
http://download.bleepingcomputer.com/sUBs/combofix.exe
Double-click combofix.exe
Follow the prompts.
(Don't click on the window while the program is running, it may cause your system to hang.)Please post the combofix.txt log.

Please download Dr Web CureIt to your desktop from this link ftp://ftp.drweb.com/pub/drweb/cureit/drweb-cureit.exe
Doubleclick the drweb-cureit.exe file and Allow to run the express scan.
This will scan the files currently running in memory and when something is found, click the yes button when it asks you if you want to cure it.
This is only a short scan.
Once the short scan has finished, mark the drives that you want to scan.
Select all drives.
A red dot shows which drives have been chosen.
Click the green arrow at the right, and the scan will start.
Click 'Yes to all' if it asks if you want to cure/move the file.
When the scan has finished, look if you can click next icon next to the files found:
If so, click it and then click the next icon right below and select Move incurable.
This will move it to the %userprofile%\DoctorWeb\quarantaine-folder if it can't be cured. (this in case if we need samples)
After selecting, in the Dr.Web CureIt menu on top, click file and choose save report list
Save the report to your desktop. The report will be called DrWeb.csv
Close Dr.Web Cureit.
Reboot your computer!! Because it could be possible that files in use will be moved/deleted during reboot.

Also do you want me to post the Dr.Web log?

Sorry jabuck i misread your last post here is the Dr.Web log:
restart.exe;C:\Documents and Settings\user\My Documents\Unzipped\SmitfraudFix\SmitfraudFix;Tool.ShutDown.11;Moved.;
Process.exe;C:\Documents and Settings\user\My Documents\Unzipped\SmitfraudFix\SmitfraudFix;Tool.Prockill;Incurable.Moved.;
Process.exe;C:\WINDOWS\system32;Tool.Prockill;Incurable.Moved.;

Set up the computer to view hidden files by going to start>control panel>folder options>view tab>tick the circle beside "show hidden files and folders" and untick the box beside "hide extensions of known file types" and "hide protected system operating files">apply>ok.
Navigate to the following folder, open it, write down the filenames such as (tom.exe, sue.dll) and post the filenames please:
C:\891431f1605148ee76fa
Everything else looks clean for the most part.

Ok thanks alot - the file name is :
msxml-kb927978-enu.log
Shall i try to install Norton then?
Also do i need to deleted any of the programs you have given me incase they conflict with Norton?

It is my understanding that the C:\891431f1605148ee76fa folder and accompanied msxml-kb927978-enu.log file get created when a microsoft update installer fails to clean itself from a computer after the update is completed. So delete the folder, restart the computer.
Then if you want to install Norton's Av if it is a download go ahead and install it then remove AVG. (if a firewall is included uninstall zonealarm and turn off windows firewall if it is on.)
If from cd , while offline, uninstall AVG and (if a firewall is included uninstall zonealarm and turn off windows firewall if it is on.) then intall Norton.
You may want to run AVG and ZA for a while if you are trouble free.
You should consider adding "Spywareblaster" to your arsenol of antispyware tools, just do a google search for spywareblaster, download it,install it, and update it. Its free and runs in the background, so you don't actually run it, and re-writes malicious script before it can install on your computer. Look for updates weekly as there is no auto-update on the free version.

Hi jabuck - Norton did install this time - thanks alot - you have been such a great help once again.
Much appreciated
BlackCat
