Trying to upgrade from 2k11 free AVG to 2k12 AVG: failed

I am trying to upgrade from AVG K to AVG 2k12, The error message I keep getting is: 0xC0070643

I am concerned because I cant go back to K and I cant move forward to 2k12. When I select the 2k12 icon on my screen it wants me to re-register my account number, but its the free edition.

I'm "iffy" at the technical language which would have me cutting, pasting, bootstrapping, etc etc. Is there an easier way to fix this issue?

BTW, since i have tried to upgrade, when ever put something into my search engine, then choose the option I want, Im directed to commercial pages such as language schools, online newspapers, just a bunch of goofy crap... Uhhhhh Help me fix this... it drives me crazy, and Im going to make it worse if left to my own LIMITED devices... (thats an open cry for help...)

You will have to use the AVG Uninstall Tool download to remove 2011 then do a complete install of 2012. Then you will need to get in touch with their support to activate your upgraded paid version.
Here's the removal tool link 32/64 bit versions:

Also make sure you've downloaded the free version - available HERE, amongst other places, and not the 'free trial', which you will need to pay for.
