Hiyas,

I think i've got some sort of virus or spyware or something. I had alot of spyware on the computer and now whenver I look at webistes, the bottom of Internet Explorer always says it's a trusted site. I've tried to change it but it won't.

Is your Sites button grayed out when you click on the Security tab's Trusted Sites in Tools\Internet Options?

I cleaned off one machine that had this issue. Turned out that some above-average rogue found a way to disable access to the sites button for Trusted Sites and populated Trusted Sites with malware sites to re-infect the PC. A search of the M$ support site never turned up any information on the key that was changed. WinGuide's Registry Guide was of no help either.

I'm leary of posting the keys in question, so if this is not your issue, I'll leave sleeping dogs lie.

Hi Skibz, I have the symptoms you describe with all internet sites coming up in the lower right corner as being in the "Trusted Zone", however its the "Internet Zone" sites button that is greyed out and inaccessible.
There are NO entries in my trusted zone, but all internet sites come up as trusted.

Michael, I'd love to know the registry keys you changed to fix the trusted zones button.

I am also unsure about the spybot S&D option to "Imunize" my computer. I have used Sbybot S&D for a few months before but it seems that only since I tried that feature I've had problems.

Yes, I have the exact same problem... Everything is trusted and I cannot change it. I can change the settings for each zone, but the "Sites" button is greyed out on the Internet zone tab for me as well...

Help. Make it go...
