This virus is giving me an education on everything exept the one thing it takes to get rid of it perminatly.I am currently using Fix-it utilities 5,wich detects the virus and delets it if it can.The utilitycan't delete the virus from the file, soI have to delete the file wich it does,I also use search tosee if it was acctualy deleted, and it has one it's job, untill IO reboot, and you guessed it,it's back again. Iused trend micro's virusinfo, and solutions to rid my PC of that rascal and it still comes back on reboot,I then reach out to the utility's support section, and he gives me to poss. fixes,1)turn off system restore and then rescan and delete. No help,(2)turn off system restore, change my settings to allow my hidden files to be accesed, spacifficly systems volume information folder. There is only 1 file, a text document, so Iagain reach out to the utility's support, and he says thats the file, but it may not help, and it's possible it may harm your sys,So therin lies the problem.I'm new to this site and it's pretty obvious that I'm a novice with this sorta thing,I hope some one out there cantell me how to get rid of this problem...thanks

You mention that you turned off system restore. Did you restart your computer immediately after turning system restore off? Have you started the computer and entered the safe mode during the boot sequence(usually by tapping the F8 key during the startup, it can be F2 or another F key depending on your computer brand)? You would then run your virus scan while in the safe mode. This allows your antivirus program to access your programs and files, because only the essential ones are allowed to run while you are in the safe mode. You will not see an "in use file", and be denied access to it using your antivirus program to clean/dlete/repair the file.
