Hi,
I have just used the Symantec trozan vundo removal tool. It did the job and removed the problem. However the computer is now saying it can not find the “c:\windows\system32\qeauvdpf.dll”.
Does anyone one know what this is used for, a search on google showed nothing.

In all probability it's just a remaining reference to the (now removed) infection - - hence the "cannot find" part
Search the registry and remove the line

I had the trojan.vundo and could not remove it for several days, very frustrating. followed all the advice in these fora until I found the tip in response 29 of "894 Trojan.Vundo.B Removal Failed" http://www.computing.net/security/w...
followed the simple instructions, VirtumundoBeGone did the job in 15 seconds flat, in regular windows, no safe mode , disabling NOrton or whatever. !!!

alex___h,
I sorted the problem out, temp. Their are two running processes, which when stooped in msconfig stop explore.exe from running. Now all i have to do is find the keys / files and process them.I will have a look at your link, thanks for your help.
