You could have got the trojan from a number of sources. (email, mIRC, P2P etc...)

Go here and run an online scan and post the results:

RAV

Also Download 'Hijack This!'. Unzip, doubleclick HijackThis.exe, and hit "Scan".
When the scan is finished, click "Save Log", and copy and paste it in a reply. If you have a trojan, it will show in the HT log and we'll let you know what to have HT fix.

Do an online Virus Scan at HouseCall_AV to check for Virus and some more common Trojans. Then install a good Virus Scan program.

Get AD-Aware_v6 and/or SpyBot_S&D to search for and remove Spyware_AD-ware.

Go to GRC.com and run Shields UP tests. Read about security there and try to follow advice on closing your ports..

You have a lot to learn about basic system security, so take your time and read everything at every web site.

Go to PC Flank.com for online checks of Worms and Trojans. Find removal instructions and then consider getting a FireWall program to block them from getting in.
