Trojan Remover

When I run the Trojan Remover Fast Scan it reports the following:

C:\WINDOWS\System 32\xxyVOFWn.dll
a file with this name *has not* been found (it may be hidden)
This file is a Trojan Horse
Appears to contain TROJAN.VIRTUMONDE(HEURISTIC DETECTION)

It suggests to run a compltet Trojan Remover scan. I did this and it said there were no malicious files. When I ran Trojan Remover the very first time, it took quite a long time to scan, but now it takes less than a minute - this seems suspicious.

I'm not sure what ...*has not* found... means, but I also ran a Vundo Fix (is Vundo the same as virtumonde?) and it also showed no infected files.

Is the Trojan Remover Fast Scan result legitimate?

if u still gettingthe same respomse..

try this out..
Start > run >cmd
Go to the path given below

Microsoft Windows XP [Version 5.1.2600]
(C) Copyright 1985-2001 Microsoft Corp.

C:\Documents and Settings\Administrator>cd ..

C:\Documents and Settings>cd ..

C:\>cd windows\system32

C:\WINDOWS\system32>

Type "attrib xxyVOFWn.dll "

so that u can see whether the fileis there ..


if so ..
try force removal by typing..

DEL /F xxyVOFWn.dll @command prompt

Trojan Remover does not appear legit. Cnet has only ONE possitive review. There are quite a few rogue programs out there and several good well known legit programs.
