Internet explorer and outlook stopped working on my computer. I updated my virus scan program and ran a scan that found a trojan fdx93.exe on the disk and deleted it.

However now I still can only work in safe mode with or with out the network. IE and outlook do not work and in general the computer is not stable (IE loads but isnt able to do anything including access the connection settings page).

Is it that someone installed some vicious things on my computer or corrupted files?

Should I try loading things one by one? is there a way to do that?

I can attach the hijackthis and the ntldlog.txt if those will be of help however the message posting system asks me not to at this stage

Thanks

Have you tried to repair IE.
While in safe mode go to add/remove programs in control panel and select Microsoft Internet Explorer and select add/remove. You should be given the option of repairing IE.
