Hello, i've got a problem...... I've gotten a virus (download from Kazaa), when I run my AVG anti virus program it finds it and identifies it as a Trojan horse.BackDoor.BladeRunner.
Now after i've run the virus scan and try to move the file/virus to the vault it tells me that the file cannot be removed.
I've been to Nortons website and followed the steps there to delete it out of my Registry, but the next time I run AVG....there it is again.
I just downloaded a program called Anti-Trojan Horse, and when i run this program it says there are NO trojans on my system.
If anyone can PLEASE help me with this problem, it would be most appreciated.
OS: Windows ME
Thanks,
Jim

AVG's faulty report ?
Go here for an online scan:http://housecall.antivirus.com/housecall/start_corp.asp

Jim:
Windows ME has a "restore" folder that fortunately ( or unfortunately for this matter), has a "backup" of your system. When you are infected with a virus the virus sometimes drops a copy of itself onto this folder. Norton should have instructions on how to rid this virus from this particular folder. The procedure I don't remember exactly, my apologies.
Hope this info helps.

thanks for the link, i ran the program and it found no virus. does that mean i'm as good as new?jds:
yes, i believe that it tells me the infected file is in a restore/temp folder.
