The Cleaner has a free trial period, think I'd
download it. After you download it you need to update it until it shows no more updates
Good luck

Do Start > Run > System.ini

You will find the Shell= line looking like
Shell=Explorer.exe openme.exe

Change it to
Shell=Explorer.exe

Save, exit and reboot

Empty your IE browser cache and then rescan.

My english is not the best...

I have almost excatly the same problem. Its useless to delete the index.html file. Because it comes back all the time. And I couldnīt use the "system.ini" solution...Im running windows XP.

I have tried Norton and AntiWir. They dont help much.

Ok...a friend solved it. Instead of system.ini in win XP its:

local_machine/software/microsoft/windows nt/currectversion/winlogon

The best trojan horse program I've found is TDS-3. It will locate almost anything, even partial trojans (this being a file associated with trojan programs). Run a full system scan and delete any detected threats. This program also will detect active trojans while your surfing, and allow you to kill the port they connected through.

Run Regedit

Browse to
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows
NT\CurrentVersion\Winlogon

Under the shell key, it should read "explorer.exe
openme.exe".

Re-name to "explorer.exe".
