avg keeps giving me error messages a few time a day telling me that it has found a trojan horse Downloader.Wren.C and to run virus scan to get rid of it. but when i run the scan it does not find the virus and therefore nothing changes. nothing has happened to my computer yet, and i'd like to keep it that way. any help would be greatly appreciated!

I am getting the same message, but when I search for it, AVG does not find it. I had found it once and deleted it, but now it is in a different location. The location I cannot get to: C:\System Volume Information\_restore{FDF7E1BD-3514-4652-A0DC-09D8FF2520E1}\RP160\A0026317.exe

I ended up reformatting my hard drive, but then I found this suggestion. "Turn system restore off and restart your computer. During the restart enter the safe mode and then run your scan. If the system is clean you can go back and turn system restore back on. Virus/worm/trojan love to hide in the restore files and they are protected, which is why an antivirus program cannot gain access to them. After your system is clean you can turn system restore back on if you like using system restore."
