"Winkb6.exe"? i tried removing it but it can't be removed the message appearing says "access denied. the source file maybe in use." i look it up at google even in yahoo search but there is no article matching it. please tell me what it is? and what is the best thing that i should do...

Klez virus creates files with 'win 'or 'wink' then some other letters, and gives a .exe extension.
Run your virus scanner on "All Files" settings.
Search for info on k l e z removal.

You have a IRC virus installed.

its one of those from a message that you get in mirc saying that there is a new virus scanner and you should download it to try it out, or from kazaa or whatever.

I remember seeing temp.exe when I was playing around with some of them I would find.

First of all to delete it you need to stop it from starting with your computers , once you stop it , it can be deleteable and it wont say windows is using it.

go to start, run and type msconfig
( I know you know this, but this is another method)

-on the "General" tab
-uncheck "load startup group items"

then apply, then ok

reboot, then go and delete the files that you thing are viruses.

go back to msconfig and in the startup tab check what you want to start with your computer.

Also, unchecking that box in the general tab will remove that password box on startup.

"delete the files that you thin[k] are viruses"

is this really a good idea?
