Hello, i'm running XP on my laptop, i've got the virus Trojan Downloader Stubby D in a satmat file in my temp file picked up by AVG software and i dont know how to get rid of it. I scanned my computer yesterday and no viruses were present then 4 hours later this showed up. It doesn't seem to be affecting my computer in any way that i can see but any advice on how i should get rid of it will be greatly appreciated (PS i only have IT GCSE level so please can someone explain in layman's terms?!)

First empty your Temporary internet folder, then scan. If it's still there, you may have to turn off system restore and then scan. Don't forget to enable system restore after the scan

If you need a simple solution, try mine. I try to give advise on things that have happened to my PC. Glad to have a chance to help you.
