McAfee tells me I have an infected file. IT also tells me it can't be repaired. My pc is running sluggish and IE closes as soon as I open it. Here is the entire message.
"McAfee has detected an infected file that cannot be repaired.

Normally I would just backup my files and reinstall windows. But I don't want to do that if I don't have to. Where can I start to solve this issue?

If you can get to c:\windows\system32 and delete that .dll file, that would be good. I would also run regedit and go to:
[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run]Look for any malware there and the same in HKLM.

i fixed this on my friends computer yesterday,
you need live one care to remove this,
i suggest you get the live one care full version 90 day trial at this link and fix it asap,
