My workmate's computer was uncharacteristially turned on when I arrived in the office this morning. I went to shut it down, and on the screen was a Norton AntiVirus alert saying:
C:\1.dll TROJAN HORSE Cannot remove, access denied.
I clicked OK and got a second message:
C:\windows\system32\psc.dll TROJAN HORSE Cannot remove, access denied.
I kept clicking OK about 10 or 20 times; each time the error message alternated between the two messages above.
I think her computer must have been left on accidentally overnight, as she was logged in when I arrived. Since Norton AntiVirus 2004 can't remove it, I'm now trying a scan with AVG Grisoft - if that doesn't work, can anyone suggest what I should do?

If system restore is turned on, turn it off(My Computer>Properties>System Restore), Then restart the computer and enter the safe mode during th erestrt. Run Norton while in it. After Norton does its job, restart and run one more scan. If the system is clean you can turn system restore back on, if you like using it.
