Trojan Byte Verify, HD unrecognized

OS: Windows XP Pro
CPU/Ram: Intel 1.5 MHz/512

The trojan Byte verify infected my computer recently and since then my slave hard drive is unrecognized by the OS. When I go into setup it shows up only as "unknown device." Norton Antivirus seemed to protect my master drive just fine. However, at this point, I can't even run the AV program on the slave drive since it's unrecognized.

Is there anyway to get the computer to recognize the drive?

Download an av on master and scan both master and slave drives
