Hi, I've got a couple different problems. The first problem I have as I see others have also is the safethomepage.com virus which takes me to that page every time I open IE and tries to get me to buy anti-virus software. It also brings up a yellow triangle on the toolbar telling me me I have spyware. Everynow and then it also stops me from going to a website with a message at the top saying that the site is blocked because of adware/spyware and tries to get me to download a program. As for the Trojan problem, I ran Trend Micro's free HouseCall and it found a trojan which is from a program i downloaded called IntCodec and it could not be removed. I tried to uninstall the program but it tells me I must reboot before I can uninstall but it still doesn't work. Please help, I have a HijackThis log ready to be posted.

I am including this if front of my "Hijack This log request" for a while to make sure others are aware of what is going on prior to receiving an email from an apparent weirdo. There is a mentally deranged individual emailing the people I am trying to help telling them I am try to blow up their computer so if this happens to you please let us know and post their email address if possible. Go to start> control panel> add/remove programs and scroll down to and uninstall these programs if found: PartyPoker PartyGaming We will need a few tools. Please download ATF-Cleaner to your desktop from this link http://www.atribune.org/content/view/19/2/ We will need it later in safe mode Download and install Ewido Security Suite We will need this later in safe mode Be sure to update Ewido Download killbox to your desktop from this link Killbox We will need it later in safe mode After you downlaod SmitRemfix but before you run it temporarily disable any of the following anti-spyware realtime protection programs that you may have Temporarily Disable Realtime Protection then turn off Norton's ScriptBlocking (I don't see it running but check and make sure it is not running please): To disable Norton AntiVirus Script Blocking: Start Norton AntiVirus. If Norton AntiVirus is installed as part of Norton SystemWorks or Norton Internet Security, then start that program. Click Options. If you see a menu, click Norton AntiVirus. In the left pane, click Script Blocking. In the right pane, uncheck Enable Script Blocking (recommended). Click OK. Download SmitRem.exe and save the file to your desktop. Doubleclick it and choose install. This will create a new folder on your desktop with the name smitrem. Next, please reboot your computer in Safe Mode by doing the following : Restart your computer After hearing your computer beep once during startup, but before the Windows icon appears, tap the F8 key continually; Instead of Windows loading as normal, a menu with options should appear; Select the first option, to run Windows in Safe Mode, then press "Enter". Choose your usual account. Open the smitRem folder, then double click the RunThis.bat file to start the tool. Follow the prompts on screen. Wait for the tool to complete and disk cleanup to finish. Reboot back into Windows normal mode. Do a search for "smitfiles.txt" usually found a C:\smitfiles.txt and post the results of the scan. Reboot ino safe mode immediatley. Run Killbox from safe mode. Double-click on Killbox.exe to run it. Put a tick by Standard File Kill. In the "Full Path of File to Delete" box, copy and paste each of the following lines one at a time. Go to start>control panel>system>system restore tab>check the box beside "turn off system restore>apply (takes a minute)>ok. Go back and uncheck the box to turn system restore back on>apply>ok. I finished all of the steps that you laid out, except for the Killbox step because none of the IntCodec files existed anymore I think SmitRem already got them. My homepage is back to normal, I no longer have the yellow triangle message on my toolbar, haven't seen any pop-ups, and have been able to access all websites as of now. As far as I can tell everything looks back to normal. You should add "Spywareblaster" to your arsenol of antispyware tools if you are not already using it, just do a google search for spywareblaster, download it,install it, and update it. Its free and runs in the background, so you don't actually run it, and re-writes malicious script before it can install on your computer. Look for updates weekly as there is no auto-update on the free version. I would suggest that you remove "Dell's MyWaySearch" as it is known to harbor malware.
